Sensitization of Gudu Market Traders, Gudu, Abuja
The traders participated in a one-day sensitization program organized by the market authorities who saw the need to enlighten the traders about the dangers of drug and substance abuse.
It was mind boggling to note that some traders were involved in drug and substance abuse because of the nature of their jobs; most of which was attributed to stress. They were however enlightened about the risks of drug and substance abuse especially the dangers to their health, family and society. They were then encouraged to seek help if they had challenges that they found too difficult to handle.
There were about 200 traders in attendance and they all paid rapt attention as the seminar was ongoing and asked relevant questions and received answers accordingly.
